Winning the Taranto Opera Competition
2023 Dame Malvina Major Award winner Moses Mackay shares an update from Europe.
I’m currently in Italy working with my voice teacher Sherman Lowe, and planning to spend Christmas here as I prepare for the upcoming season.
I’m excited to share that in March 2024, I will make my Italian debut in the role of Dulcamara in “L’elisir d’amore” with Taranto Opera. Following this, I’ll return to New Zealand Opera to perform the role of Raimbaud in “Le Comte Ory” from May to June 2024, completing a full circle since my days as a Dame Malvina Major Emerging Artist over a decade ago!!
